Boston anyone?
For the past year, I've had a wonderful Intern, Brianna. She has been my intern, my partner, and mostly my friend. She can seriously read my mind or know what I want/need before I do! This past weekend was her last in Preschool, and I am soooo sad! She is a wonderful girl, and she's moving on to Gordon College to finish up her degree in youth ministry. Unfortunately for me, that means a huge hole left in Preschool. I'm sure that I will have another intern that will be helpful and that I can develop, but Brianna has just been so special to me, my team, the kids and the families of RH that she could never be replaced. So, in hopes of keeping her in great community, I have a question...Does anyone know of a solid church near Boston?

yup, he's awesome.
You might be wondering why Alex is SO happy....well, that's the letter telling him that his GPA earned him a spot on the Academic Honor Roll for the past semester (YES, that was the semester in which he was also planning a wedding!!). I am so proud of him! He's pretty dang talented...you can check out his work here If you know of anyone who needs an awesome graphic designer, I just might know one!
oh and in unrelated alex goodness, we were walking through Ralphs, and Alex was attacked by one of those end-of-the-aisle-cardboard-display-thingies that just happened to be fully loaded with Bluetooth ear pieces. Needless to say, ALL of the bluetooth devices fell off into the middle of the aisle and we laughed harder than we have in a loooong time!

happy birthday to me!
Well, today is my 25th birthday! I'm officially a quarter of a century old. Wow. Today has been a long day (to say the least), and is still going. Right now, it's 8:45 PM, and in about an hour I need to go back to work!! We have to finish all of the VBS set up after the 9pm service that we weren't able to do before the night services. VBS starts at 7:30AM tomorrow with the volunteer devotions...and oh yah, the "little" preschool program for kids of vounteers has morphed into its own monster with 40 kids enrolled! Yikes! I am really in for it!
As for the birthday celebration, my wonderful husband has been treating me like a princess all weekend to compensate for this long work day! Friday, we spent all day together (which isn't all that unusual these days :-)) and had dinner at the Blue Bayou at Disneyland. We had fun walking around Disneyland and going on a few rides. I also received some wonderful new glasses that I have been wanting, and I absolutely love them! I felt very loved and celebrated.
Today I was serenaded by 150 preschoolers which was pretty much awesome! They are so cute and I love them all! It definitely made working on my birthday totally worth it!
P.S. What is going on with the weather?? It is hot, humid, rainy, and there were thunderstorms last night!! Where am I?

happy 5th birthday carson dane!
fun fourth of july!
Alex and I had a great first fourth of July as a married couple! We spent the early afternoon with Alex's parents at Newport Dunes. They came up in their motor home, and we met them down at the campground. We took a walk and saw all of the fourth of july craziness down there, and then hung out and talked.
After we left the Dunes, we went over to Celeste and Daniel's house for a barbecue and fireworks. It was fun to hang with my family, and especially fun to see Alex and Maliah play for HOURS!! Neither of them stopped the whole afternoon/evening! There was basketball, a water fight, hula hoops, somersaults, mario kart on the wii, and fireworks.
By the time the day was over, Maliah was wiped, and so were we! All in all it was great day!
